The scene - I am a single parent and work from home. My kids are bused to a school several miles from the home. I also live in the middle of a chemical valley where emergency evacuations can happen at a moment notice. Also facing reality says it is a prime target for terrorist acts.

Scenario....an emergency happens. Could be to the area of the home, near the school, or the whole city. I have to evacuate and can't get to the school for the kids or even notify them. On the otherhand the kids are evacuated from the school and the city....not knowing where I am, nor me knowing where they are, or any of us knowing if the others are safe let alone location. Panic and sick feeling - where are we?

Solution - Originally back in 2000 I realized the need for a way of staying in touch if separated. I had it set up for some contact points with friends and neighbours, but after watching the massive disaster unfold in the Southern States I realized our plan was in itself a disaster - what if our contact points were all gone and dispersed to other points.

Now I have the solution if worst comes to worst and I am separated from my kids or other family members. I just have to go to my personal secure section of LookingForMyFamily.com and post where I am at. The kids can also do the same. We will know where each of us are located and then can take the steps to reunite. And if things change and locations change before we reunite, then the new location information can be posted and we can still find each other.

A perfect solution for us and one that every family should have in this day and age.
